Patterns of the City
Patterns of the City is a textiles project inspired by the architecture of New York City. The contrast between historic brownstones and sleek skyscrapers shaped the foundation of this work. Designed for Ready-to-Wear Autumn/Winter runway, the collection bridges the gap between commercial design and high fashion presentation.
Urban textures, geometric forms, and structural patterns are translated into textiles through digital print, laser cutting, and fabric manipulation. I focused on developing tactile qualities, using print to capture layered city motifs, manipulation to build depth, and the laser cutter to create precision patterns and negative space. Together, these techniques push surface design into a more dynamic, three-dimensional form.
